Can we bring our own snacks on the trail ?

Yes, you are more than welcome to bring in your own snacks or meals.  We can also help you set up meal packages provided by The Copper Grille at Saddle Creek Resort.   With prior notice, we can arrange to bring your food, drinks, and other personal items in by pack mule for longer adventures!

Do I need to have riding experience?

No, each ride will begin with a brief riding instruction session, so that you will be confident you can direct your horse when out on the trail.  We have horses for every rider!  We have horses that the most experienced horseman or woman will enjoy, as well as horses that can make novice riders or children feel like they are pros!

When is the best time to ride ?

Anytime on horseback is a great time!!  We do think that the mild fall and spring weather is especially wonderful for riding here in the foothills.  Fall lends itself to crisp air, fallen leaves, and beautiful afternoon rides.  Spring brings the birth of fresh new leaves on the gorgeous oak trees, and wildflowers and wildlife galore!
