We have the most incredible open ranch land to ride on! Miles and miles of beautiful trails cutting through gorgeous foothills studded with oaks and pines, meandering creeks and ponds. Every season brings it's own beauty to enjoy, and it's the perfect place to come and "get away from it all". We won't take you riding on streets and roads, instead you'll leave the trailhead and step into another time, where you can just enjoy the quiet, while you're lulled by the sounds of nature, occasional whinny of your horse or mule, and creak of your saddle. You'll love watching the cows and calves and abundant wildlife of the land. Don't have any experience, or it's been years since you've been in the saddle? Don't worry, our horses and mules are extremely safe and well trained, and we start all of our rides in our Trailhead Corral where we give basic riding instruction, and make sure you're comfortable before we head out onto the open trail. Please look below, at our most popular rides, but don't hesitate to ask if you have something else in mind, as we can set up an adventure that will be just right for you or your group!

Pony rides

We have beautiful sweet ponies and horses at our Trailhead Corrals to give even the littlest cowboys and cowgirls a wonderful experience with equines! They'll love to pet and talk to the horses and ponies, and get led around the corrals by friendly guides. Pictures of the little buckaroos can be arranged by request!
Minimum age for Pony Rides is 1 Year Old.

The sawmill ranch trail

Saddle up for this fun trail going through native gold country foothills with creeks, trophy bass pond and thousands of oaks and pines. You'll start the ride at our Trailhead Corral at the Copperopolis Town Square, but as we head out onto the trail, you'll quickly forget there is a town anywhere nearby! Beautiful trails all year around! We can also add meal packages for picnics on the trail, or set up wine tasting or lunch/dinner reservations for you!
1 Hour Ride - $45.00 per person
1 1/2 Hour Ride - $58.00 per person
2 Hour Ride - $70.00 per person
(Riders must be a minimum of 7 years old to head out on the trail. For younger riders, we can set up a horse or pony ride at the corrals.)
sunrise ride

There is no better way to start your day and enjoy the hills than by watching them come alive in the morning by horseback! Coffee and Pastries from Snaps Coffee & Wine Bar included.

Sunset ride

A beautiful and romantic ride in the evening as the sun is setting over the hills. Perfect way to end the day! We can add a campfire and s'more package, or if you'd like we can set up wine tasting or dinner reservations for you also!

The copper valley ranch trail

This gorgeous acreage extends all the way to the shores of Lake Tulloch with beautiful creeks and ponds along the way. These private ranch trails are the only riding trails on Lake Tulloch and are used for our extended rides: Half Day Rides, Overnight Pack Trips and Horse Camping. Fish & Ride Package

Ever dreamed of riding in to a remote pond, stocked with Trophy Bass, fishing for awhile and then riding back out? Well, here your dream can come true! We have a beautiful 15 acre stocked Trophy Bass Pond for fishing, and we'll take you on an hour horseback ride to get to it. Once there, you can fish (we'll even provide the poles for you) and when you're done, we'll saddle up and head on back to the trailhead. Incredible experience!

Gold-Panning & Ride Package

What better place than the "gold country" to try your hand at gold-panning? We'll take you on an hour trailride into a beautiful gold-panning location, where you can get instructions from a gold-panning expert. After your gold-panning session, we'll saddle up and head back into the trailhead!
